Value

Stephan Schier - Thursday, January 01, 1970
Any number of days I find myself invarialby speaking with a customer or a collegue  about the economic downturn of late.  It's usually sparked by "how's business for you?", and beyond the standard reply, "it's been a rough winter", we often end up agreeing things will get better, but something has changed all together.  We as consumers have seen a bit of the dark side to abundance and the prospect that such a rosy standard of living could in fact be un-sustainable poses some real questions. What is of value to us?  As we recover from our collective spanking most of us have done a bit of soul searching enough to realize change isn't always subtle, often it occurs in great leaps and jolts us out of our groove.  As consumers we've still been partaking in the economy but perhaps we seek a bit more value in what we purchase.  We want authenticity, what is real and will last.
